Thursday, June 13, 2013

Tonight we are going to finish up our presentations.

Next Thursday, we will perform our presentations for Darlene Ripley and her students at 8:00!

To finalize your presentation, remember:

              FOR YOUR SLIDES
--Use lots of images and color on every slide.
--Use transitions between slides and animations for images and/or text.
--Don't use too much text (25 words per slide is a good target!)

          FOR YOUR PRESENTATIONS
--Write out what you plan to say for each slide. (Again, not too much text!)
--Do not say the same things that your slide already says.
--Do not read your slide for your presentation.
--Practice looking out at everyone when you do your presentation.

Relax and try to have a good time!

Typing Web, The Reality

We have a couple of students that are doing REALLY well with their typing. Maria G. and Viann! Congratulations!!!

They are doing so well, and their names are so much bigger than everyone else's, that I made three wordles this week: One of everyone "the Reality," one of just Maria and Viann, and then one of the rest of the class.
The sizes of your names is based on your trophy count and relative to everyone else's trophy count. Please try to earn more trophies to increase the size of your name! (It's a fun way to practice typing!)

Here are the images:

First, everyone in the class (The Reality)

Second, just Maria G. and Viann (Two Titans)

Third, everyone except Maria G. and Viann... (Everyone Else)

New TW Trophy Wordle!!!

Hello Everybody! We have a new Typing Web "Wordle" that shows the relative ranking of the entire class. The names of the students that spent the most time typing last week are the largest in the Wordle. Neat, huh! To give yourself a bigger name, earn another trophy or two this week and then adjust your total at the link below!
